New Hitter Adds: Stats based on DD Veterans75 (10,10,10,10)

1972 Billy Williams, CHC, Bats-L, 4R Balance, LF-3(0)e5, RF-4(0)e5, 1b-4e21
LH--4.5 2b, 1.8 3b, 6.5 HR, 7 BB 352/406/630, 1.036 OPS
RH--8.7 2b, 1.3 3b, 12.3 HR, 6 BB 430/472/910, 1.382 OPS

LH-- 7.3 2b, 0 3b, 5.3 HR, 1 BB 381/392/598, .998 OPS
RH--5.6 2b, 0.5 3b, 11.1 HR, 12 BB 368/444/787, 1.131 OPS
Similar vs LHP, power improvement vs RHP, nice added flexibility with 1b eligibility

1962 Frank Robinson, CIN, Bats-R, 1R Balance, 342/421/624, 1.045 OPS. LF/RF-2(0)e2, Bulletproof.
LH--7.7 2b, 0 3b, 10.8 HR, 13 BB 376/474/816, 1.291 OPS

RH--7.3 2b, 0.3 3b, 15.3 HR, 20 BB 417/546/1.055, 1.601 OPS
A more balanced card than the 9.45m, better vs LHP than 9.45m, 9.45m still better vs RHP

Gonna Double vs LHP and Homer vs RHP, not amazing OBP, but very nice defense.

HR bump more than makes up for miniscule loss of OBP. You'll like......

2007 Chipper Jones ATL, Bats-S, 7R Balance, 337/425/604, 1.029 OPS 3b-3e12, SS-4e48
LH--5.6 2b, 1.5 3b, 3.5 HR, 11 BB 269/344/463, 807 OPS

RH--2.4 2b, 1.3 3b, 5.9 HR, 8 BB 287/340/513, .853 OPS
More balanced card, should be nice for KC exp, though not a 1 in CF.

1980 Mike Easler PIT, Bats-L, 7R Balance, 338/396/583, .987 OPS, LF/RF-4(+1)e5

RH--4.4 2b, 0 3b, 24.3 HR, 40 BB 447/672/1.652, 2.324 OPS
Kind of a flip from his 3R card. I wish Ted Williams had a bunch of steroid-induced cards......

1937 Zeke Bonura, CWS, Bats R, 1L Balance, 345/412/573, .985 OPS, 1b-4e17

Much better card for Bonura

LH--4.75 0.80 12.75 27 1 0.425 0.574 0.982 1.557 OPS

good Marlin add

1947 Harry Walker, PHI, Bats-L, E Balance, 363/436/487, .923 OPS, CF/LF/RF-2(0)e15, 1b-3e13

RH--5.7 2b, 5.2 3b, 0 HR, 12 BB 504/564/674, 1.238 OPS
Not posting his cheap card, lots of hits here

1961 Eddie Mathews MLN, Bats-L, 2L Balance, 306/402/535, .937 OPS, 3B-2e19
LH--0 2b, 0 3b, 15.3 HR, 17 BB 405/504/913, 1.418 OPS
RH--5 2b, 1.8 3b, 6.7 HR, 20 BB 384/504/711, 1.215 OPS
Compared to current 8.00m card, MIL, Bats-L, E Balance, 3b-3e31

RH-5.1 2b, 1.8 3b,15 HR, 20 BB 369/492/985, 1.477 OPS
Didn't compare to the 9m card because the 8m has the best offense.

1974 Johnny Bench, CIN, Bats-R, 3R Balance, 280/365/507, .872 OPS, C-1(-4)e2, 1b-4e24, 3b-4e18

Compared to best current card, 7.69m, CIN, Bats-R, 4L Balance, C-1(-4)e7, 1b-3e22, 3b-4e37, LF/CF-4(-1)e25
LH--10.4 2b, 0.5 3b, 19.9 HR, 2 BB 354/366/1.025, 1.391 OPS
RH--6.2 2b, 0.6 3b, 10.2 HR, 8 BB 318/369/698, 1.067 OPS
Compared also to another Bench card I like, 5.28m, CIN, Bats-R, E Balance, c-1(-4)e3, RF/LF-4(-1)e10, 1b-4e30
LH--11.7 2b, 0 3b, 7 HR, 4 BB 320/351/637, .988 OPS
RH--8.9 2b, 0 3b, 8.8 HR, 14 BB 310/406/687, 1.093 OPS
I'm guessing this new 1974 card will be the cheapest Bench card. Probably in the 4.25m range

1917 Ty Cobb, DET, Bats-L, E Balance, 383/444/570, 1.014 OPS, RF/LF-2(0)e11, CF-3(0)e11, Steal: *3-6/- (19-15)
LH--9.6 2b, 6.4 3b, 1.4 HR, 10 BB 530/578/804, 1.382 OPS
RH--9.9 2b, 6.6 3b, 1.4 HR, 10 BB 546/592/827, 1.419 OPS
Compared to best hitting current Cobb card, 9.99, DET, Bats-L, E Balance, CF/RF-2(0)e12, Steal: *3-6/- (19-15)
LH--6.3 2b, 6.6 3b, 2 HR, 6 BB 585/612/836, 1.448 OPS
RH--6.2 2b, 6.4 3b, 1.8 HR, 6 BB 574/601/814, 1.415 OPS
Not as good as 9.99 card. Is NOT a 15 game INJ risk like the 9.99 card, though.

cool-- good to see this because its a good idea of what we are actually getting.

if we do this for future votes too that would be fantastic.

I’m Glad to do it if Bill will give me a chance to put it up before voting starts, once nominations are in.

I really appreciate the time you put in here Andy, and I also hope we can delay voting until your analysis. I think th eoutcome would have been different in a few places.

A lot really depends on the pricing. The Gehrig not being bulletproof might get the price down enough to give it value.

Really excited about Chipper's card. One of my favorites growing up. I wish Bob Allison would have gotten in this time. Really want a good Allison card to go with Killebew.

That should work just fine Andy, thanks. We will get started on 19.3 nominations sometime next month, so we will certainly have time for a pre-vote analysis of the nominees.

:D :D :D :D :D
Ive been trying to get the Chipper card in for over a year now- and am happy hes finally in.
Got to play with it in the 2007-2014 leagues :D :D :D

Also happy to see the cards stats coming into play for all of us - that will be a nice upgrade to the process,
which I think is already improved. Please continue similarly.
