Range 3 in CF?

PostWed Aug 29, 2012 9:59 pm

Generally, I don't play anyone in CF unless they have a 1 or 2 range. But, I am in a 90's league where the draft went very bad. I did get Larry Walker. I have first pick on waivers, and Manny is an option. So, With Walker a 3(-4)e5 in CF...how much would he hurt me if I play him in CF?

Another option is to play Manny at DH, but I have Piazza for DH. It seems to me that moving Piazza to C is riskier than moving Walker to CF. But both may be dumb moves.

Thoughts?

Thanks, Tom

Playing Piazza at C is not a horrible decision. His offense makes up for his defense.

I am not a fan of playing Walker in CF, only because of his range in RF. I would just as much rather play him in RF and look for someone else to play CF.

You can live with a 3 range in CF, but I do try to avoid it if I can.

I play 3s all over the place. I just go by how good of a hitter they are and how my overall defense stacks up. Play Walker in center unless your corners aren't good fielders.
