Never Give Up, Never Surrender?

PostMon Dec 18, 2023 11:33 pm

Have you ever had a team that you thought was good but just couldn't seem to win? My current 90s team fell into this category. They were 25-41, having lost six consecutive series. I had given up. I usually play only one team at a time, but I started a 60s team because this one was clearly a lost cause. And then it wasn't...

They might stink the rest of the year, but the last 33 games have been fun with them going 24-9. They find themselves tied for first in their division, albeit with a losing 49-50 record, and they have the third best run differential in the league.

It will be interesting to see which "team" shows up for the last 63 games.

Of course, the first night after I post this, they lose all three games, two of them by one run (now 12-20 in 1-run games for the year), and I'm three games out.

Ha. Yes my current 90s team. 4-14 after a 1-8start, -56 differential. So I’m getting outscored by 3 runs a game. I have Ryno and Durhams best year, one of butlers top 3 and Pedro is Pedro. Let’s see if I get on a roll.
