An injured Sammy Sosa certainly helped the Katanas capture the championship for this 42nd Season. The Mongoose had won 40 (beating Kauffman in the first round) and I’ve now won 41 and 42 so it seems we have quite a rivalry heading into the next season.
Some numbers to show how even our teams really were this year: Katanas and Mongoose had an identical ERA and WHIP, Mongoose BA was .005 higher and OBP .002 and our hitters both stuck out 1092 times.
