$ - Clutch Hitting

PostSun Aug 23, 2020 5:37 pm

Is clutch hitting a thing in Strat 365? Is it indicated by the dollar sign? I assume a hit is granted or taken away based upon the presence of the $ and the normal result?

Are any 80's players known for being clutch?

Clutch hitting does apply. I have seen it for a few injuries - like a player has a $groundout inj and he gets injured on a single with two outs and a runner on 2nd. I'm not sure which players have good clutch hitting in the 80s, but many players have good clutch in some years and bad clutch in others. So, the first thing I try to do is to figure out the year and then use the clutch hitting to decide where to put him in the lineup.

Howdy,
Not a big fan of Joe Torre in the '70s game, but he's been dynamite in the clutch for an otherwise weak-hitting '70s team of mine. I can say similar things for Brooks Robinson, who also toils on that same club.
