Power W

If a player card says power W, does that mean he can't hit a HR off a pitcher card?

More specifically, looking at John Vander Wal's card: https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/35 ... /90/439471

If he has hit a HR against a lefty does that necessarily mean he is in 2000? could he have stretched a triple off of a pitcher card into a HR?

While it's possible he stretched a triple or got a rare play off of the outfield X chart, it's far, far more likely he got a normal homerun. So, I would assume he has his 2000 year card.

If a player rated W gets a homerun off of the pitcher's card, it's converted to a single**.
