How many ab’s or ip’s in mystery leagues before drop

PostSat Dec 01, 2018 11:32 am

Assuming the dice rolls are about even and no clues from injuries, after how many at bats or innings pitched do you typically wait until you drop a player if they are not performing well. In other words, at which point after the start of the season do you determine that the poor performance is not random and you have a card with a bad year.

I am around 50 abs and 25 ips. Too early? Too late?

there is no hard and fast rule.

I typically hear 100 ABs. If a player has 4 good years but is doing poorly, I usually give a little more leeway. If a player has one good year and is doing poorly, I probably dont wait as long.

Not sure fire way, but 100/ab and 60/ip are good benchmarks

Plus you have to factor in the rolls. I keep a hitter longer if a higher percentage of the rolls have been on the pitchers card.
