Analyzing the “big data” of start online

PostWed Nov 28, 2018 8:45 am

have you ever tried or heard of anyone trying to scrape (is that the right word for downloading or copying data from the Strat online website?) stats from league results to determine whether a player is overpriced or underpriced?

Since the data for the leagues is essentially public someone with a tech background or knowledge could scrape it and analyze the aggregate data to determine if a particular player is used by most leagues and, if used, does he perform at, above or below where his salary would indicate he should perform.

I would love to see Strat create some kind of dynamic pricing system where salaries would be adjusted by the “market” of whether that player was selected and used by us customers. And i’m Curious as to how hard it would be.

Have you ever done a pricing efficiency analysis? For example, Hoyt Wilhelm is priced at $X per save (or per OBP %) while Hall is priced at $y per save.

Geez, that is cool. Is there a compilation of the ATG set as well?
