I've not seen any 80m teams where every starter is less than 1m that wins over 100 games. Hoping someone will post the link to one of them and prove me wrong...

Closest I could find was 97 wins. But there was some early season moves.

ATG3 (which I priced) had appropriate salary level for top starters (i.e., Pete was 12.90M), which meant 4 aces wasn't the bulletproof strategy it is now. Also, you spent 7:00M on your bullpen.

I just sent the password to everyone by e-mail. Its TENTATIVELY set for a week from today as people need to enter, SOM will need to set the draft order and we will also ask them to allow the room to be entered at least a day in advance not a half hour in advance. Stadium draft in any round will be turned on but I hope it works, this is a newly enabled "feature" plus 2 hours per pick. First year replacing the "Dope" - cross your fingers, it might be a bumpy ride.

Keep up the ratchet jawing and the fun here - as the battle begins soon. :D

Not sure if presidents day is best day to start. Tuesday the 18th probably better.

It is the finals. Why don't we just turn the clock completely off for the entire draft, and just start the draft the day the league fills? Skipping in the finals isn't necessary, is it?

I like the idea of starting sooner and giving people more time.

Given the high caliber of the managers in the Finals, I agree that a two hour clock seems unnecessary. Those of us still gainfully employed sometimes experience difficulty monitoring the draft during business hours, which obviously will vary depending on the time zone.

After multiple qualifying leagues over the last 9 months, Finals managers are likely eager to start the draft, get their teams drafted and begin play in the Finals.

I'm willing to make a good faith commitment to keeping the draft moving. If other managers are willing to do the same, is a clock really needed?

Take Lab as an example. If he can only check the site once per day, I still think we should wait for him rather than use a clock. I think we are all high caliber managers and will use the draft queue to the greatest extent that we each feel comfortable. On the flip, I personally am potentially uncomfortable skipping Lab after a 2 hour clock when he's already announced his heavy work schedule.

Personally, I'd say start the draft as soon as all the teams are entered with no clock. It would likely get done quicker that way than waiting to start until next Monday.

But as the newbie in the Finals I'll go with the flow.
