Another go at a fun format. Currently wrapping up a season in which I completely bollixed my team, so hopping back on the horse. Cap is a little lower than last time, eras slightly tweaked.
Here’s how it works:
The league will be $140 million w/ DH.
Your first Five (5) players will be chosen in an ILC (Individual League Chat) draft, order selected by randomizer. We hope this process takes 2-3 days max.
Rounds 1 thru 4 will be conducted in serpentine order. Round 5 order same as Round 4. So, Round 1 (1-12),Rd 2 (12-1),
Rd 3 (1-12), Rd 4 (12-1) , Rd 5 (12-1)
Each team will draft 4 hitters in rounds 1 thru 4 and then their Ace SP in round 5 (finally last pick gets an advantage in a league)
You MUST draft ONE and only one hitter from each of the following Eras: (I’m defining Expansion differently from SOM for better card distribution:
Deadball—(No Ruth 1920)
Pre-war + NeL + Ruth 1921-1946
Post war—1947-1976
Expansion-1977-Present
No restrictions as to which round you select your Eras hitter in, as long as you ONLY select ONE hitter from each Era during each of the first 4 rounds.
The Ace SP taken by each team in round 5 may be from ANY Era.
These five players may NOT be dropped and/or traded at any time. You must auto-draft the specific card you choose here.
Once we are finished we will load the teams into a private league and autodraft the remaining players. You may select ANY players from any era, and any stadium during the autodraft.
If you would like to join, please add your name below and we will proceed with the Randomizer once we fill.
If you join, please be prepared to participate in an ILC draft for approx. 3 days, i.e. please plan on checking in frequently during the day to help keep the draft moving along.
