BTW, if you mean the league we are in, I was off by almost 100 on both the pitchers AND the hitters.
The hitters have evened out but the pitchers are still to the bad by about 70.

Though sometimes that can be the ol' F0 switcharoo, one of the known black box effects that SOM describes.

I'm beginning to think most players need to take a basic statistics course at their local community college.

I know it is frustrating and sucks. At the same time I never seem to get too jazzed up when things fall in my favor and not as they would be expected to. Like yeah my willie keeler has missed 29 games. But delahanty has only missed 5. Honus Wags only six. McGraw 14. meh.

In last year's Barnstormer's finals league, semis game 7, the loss hurt even more because the entire season and playoffs down to the last 4 teams I watched every game via the replay function. matt-style (tmfw30)

It was fun at times, except when you are in Braves stadium and opponents are getting HRs on 1s, or you see 6 straight rolls off the opponent's card. Then you are like spitting on the screen No F*&*^$&( way!
Then your opponent has a Barry Bonds type K twice and walk twice and you think...meh...

I can feel the frustration as well. All my last teams have had big negative rolls both sides. It does make you wonder! You just wait for the leagues where it flips hopefully and start gods on your side.

I thought the title was ironically funny in a way though too...

Occasional outlier results give me confidence it is indeed mostly randomized. Yes there are the minor black box max rule flips for so-called stat realism etc yadda yadda
