maybe not a new question...

PostThu Dec 01, 2022 8:05 pm

I started with a five-man rotation set, and saved (repeatedly), and 25 games in it's only 4 that pitch, #5 in rotation, Chief Bender (S9*) hasn't pitched, despite him being #5 in the rotation - what have I missed?
Thanks!

If all 5 Sp have a *, only the first 4 will start. Number 5 will never be used.

1. If you want your #5 pitcher to start, you'll need to set the Per Game Starting Pitchers individually by game

2. Don't do this, this is a simulation game not real life. Either pick 4* pitchers or 5 non* pitchers. There is no down side to pitching your starters 320+ innings per season. The downside to what you're doing is you're wasting cash.

The only exception to the above is if you use additional starters as spot starters against extreme lineups. Again, to do this you'll have to set the Per Game Starting Pitchers.
