I tried to put together a 140 million dollar team, and it's just way way too much for me... For certain leagues and situations 100 million is viable for me, but really when it comes to ATG8 or ATG9,.. 80 million is the perfect number for me.

According to your profile you still have yet to play in a single ATG 9 league even though it has been out 21 months now.

You are correct. I really don't like the new system where you have no control over your bullpen. I am also not a fan of the cartoonish pre war cards, including the NeL cards.... But sometimes I make exceptions. I really don't do caps more than 100 million anymore.

I still play ATG8,1982, 1986, 60s, 70s, 80s, 90s, 2000s 2007, 2008, 2020, 2015-2021 Daily Sets, The Mystery Tournament, The Player's Championship, and every once in a while I play in theme leagues. Many of the cards are the same from the sets I do play.

I also play in WINDOWS LEAGUES. And I play the old CD-ROM football game, I recently bought the 2020 season and replayed the Browns.

I usually have 4-6 teams going at a time.. I am hoping for ATG10 they will figure out that relief pitchers should be able to fill at least four roles. Instead of 10+ or 2...??.. They should also consider making larger mandory minimum rosters of at least 26.

Do you every play any of the other sets?

I don't mind the bullpen roles being limited to 2...2 is probably more realistic than 4 or more...you would only use 2 relief pitchers that way....having guys pitch close to 400 innings is not that realistic either...The way it is set up really means that you really need your bullpen more if you use pitchers that are rated from 5-7 innings per start...I don't know that there is a satisfactory answer considering all the eras that ATG crosses. Who knows?

Plus I can honestly say that I hate the way bullpens perform anyway....I seem to get the same results form Paul Lapalme at 2.55 mil, as I get from Eric Gagne at over 6 mil.

I'm afraid I'm a bit old school, used to play this game a while back and just getting back to it. Took a break for various reasons but I'd have to agree with egvrich, 80 mil was how the game was designed and probably tests managerial skill a bit more than the larger caps. I personally like 60 mil but I don't do well at it. Hell with the all the new players in the pool I don't do well at any of them any more but I'm figuring it out again. Most importantly, its about fun and a little pastime/hobby.

good luck to all in all you do

In my book, 80 mill and 60 mill are far and away more enjoyable and interesting.
