Hard to say. I certainly would be worried about collusion but it's not clear that is what going on.

I made this trade with a fellow last place team. 80 million cap, we're both at full salary, so no collusion and no dumping, etc. Definitely a crazy trade but I had all money spent and he had only .05 left, so not much margin to actually match the salaries.

Interesting.....No argument with intent in this specific case, but, I'd think the game company should not allow the software to do this because it invites questions.

Imagine being three games ahead in the wild card race and the team chasing you proposes a 24-player trade and has a 10-5 record against the team with the best record and you've got a 5-10 record against the best team. Meanwhile there's another team in the wildcard race trailing by just two games.

It's still not collusion, but, a 24-player trade is unrealistic and invites questions as to how integrity is affected. If the math gets too hard to make a trade involving a handful of players, then, trade the whole team (or 50% of the team).

Probably not what the game designer intended.

Oh please what difference does it make. The salaries balance and both teams in last place trying to do something. They paid their money same as anyone else. Who cares if it invites questions from grassy knoll theorists? I do not see any harm here to anyone.

Nov. 14, 1954: Yankees and Orioles pull off 17 player trade. Pretty close.

It's better than salary dumping which may give a WC edge to other teams in that division.

Clearly, someone really wanted Al Weis.

I like it!

Two last place teams, at least they are staying involved. If the dollars work, then it's definitely better than dropping a ton of players at a 20% price.

If they are in last place, then they are afforded the right to try drastic measures to improve.

Refreshing to see two teams communicate like that. Trades are so rare and most of the time people elect not to communicate and instead drop at a salary loss.

Good luck to them. If someone thinks they were colluding they weren't doing a good job so cut em a break :)
