OT is all that stood between me and three Barnstormer's titles. The first time I ever played in the tour, OT beat me in the finals in game 7. He is, however, old school small ball. We both have small ball teams in the league in question. My own preference is loading up on OBP for small ball teams. Thus I don't use Griffith, but prefer Forbes or Comiskey. We are both in the same division which should provide a good test of our differing small ball approaches.

I almost hate to admit it, but back in ATG 1 it took me way too long to realize it was the "Pine Tar" (two words) Refugees. In my mind I always looked at the name Pinetar (one word) and asked myself what the hell is a Pin-a-tar ....

Yeah. And there I a man with my symmetrical, non small ball team, right in the middle of it.

I’m also doing a bit if bullpen experimentation, so this league will likely not end well for me.

I had over 30 playoff teams in a row between 2016-2020 with the Daily set. When you play the same set more than a few times it's pretty easy.

I wonder how many playoff teams in a row The Last Droid could make if he tried any other set besides ATG? According to his record, ZERO.

So you love Strat-O-Matic and baseball enough to play over 2000 teams. But not enough to try a new set of cards. Or maybe you are just terrified of losing?

He once said to me, I have a .550 winning percent with my last 150 teams. OKAY, BUT I HAVE A .552 winning percentage with my FIRST 150 teams. And I have played all the sets, not the same one 2000 times in a row.

So it would seem to me if you were really the best, or even one of the best , and you really love SOM and baseball you would give a different set a try at least once in a while. Unless, again you are just terrified of giving up your advantage and losing.

Oops, my bad I didn't make the playoffs 30 times in a row. What was I thinking, it was actually 34 times in a row.

In other words, I just laugh, cause no one can defeat me. At least definitely not J-Pav or The Last Droid.
