I'd say it is probably 80-90% or more team construction. Settings do matter, particularly with the bullpen. Since I became more attentive to settings on a per series basis my winning pct. increased about .006, for what that is worth.

ok now 8 straight first round exits, that is out of my last 10 teams with 6 in a row making the playoffs almost all division winners with home field. latest team won 11 of 12 vs team that it lost to.

That may be the one that drives me the most batty ... When you have home field and totally dominated your first round opponent and still manage to lose in the semis.

well, the solution is simple. avoid leagues that THELASTDRUID is in....

just joking. its always good to take on the best. thats how to learn....

ok 9th straight first round exit. this time team had 97 wins vs opps 85. 174 run diff vs opps -2, 9-3 reg season head to head advantage including 5-1 at home where I went 0-3 in playoff series. got another team starting Monday vs weaker opponent looking for 10th straight defeat.

I have played in several leagues with the Druid and quite frankly he always beats my boys into the ground. That being said, every time I play in a league with him, I learn a bit more.and my teams keep getting better. He has always been great about questions when I ask for advice. Not sure what the magic formula is, but still love playing the game.
