I'd list Murray a the top 3 settings for middle/setup/closer.
Then Adams the way way for the next 3.
Followed by both of them listed for all the other settings like "behind and late" "Tied and late"
Pick 2 others to be mopups, as you might not want to use them in a game you're down by 10.
Both set to don't relieve before F8 should keep them in when you want and get then out before HAL forces 5 rolls on the hitters card.

Unless you want to list any of the others as RH or LH specialists, let HAL sort out the rest when Murray and Adams are both gassed.

Caveat, I very rarely play high salary leagues, my experince with this comes from using Arroyo and Hrbosky to do this at $60M. :D

Thanks, the settings must be the same for different caps. I will try them out!

The settings should work the same, you've just got Fryman and Haddix at the back of the pen and I've got Al Schulz

To the previous suggested settings, I would add to set your cheapest starters to max 6 innings. Overall, these settings will allow Adams and Murray to get most innings, but I'm not sure this is what you should pursue.

In my opinion, Murray, Goosage and Schultz have virtually cards of identical value. In your stadium, Murray is perhaps slightly better because of his hold rating and absence of stadium singles vs lhp, but Schultz has more gbA and is the better card vs lh and Goosage has the least on-base and is probably the better card among all three in stadiums with low singles ratings and low homerun ratings. Plus, you have Dave Smith who has the best card among all of them vs right-handed bats and Fryman who has a top card vs left-handed bats and is probably the best card against 2R-3R+ lefty bats like Bonds and Giambi.

In turn, you have Lady Baldwin, a lefty who, in your league, will be destroyed if he faces a team loaded of right-handed bats.

So I think I would use Adams as often as I can as a starting pitcher, keeping him in the relief only if you feel you have an edge to go with a lefty like Baldwin (say, against a lefty loaded line-up). I would probably use Fryman and Smith as specialists (Fryman as avoid rh), I would use probably Goosage as my first main guy middle man, set-up and tied-game guy, but set on quick hook, set at F9 and set to 2-3 innings max, and Murray would be my second main guy, set at F8 or F7, just like suggested. This way, you could have the Gooseman for a few hitters, switch to either or both Fryman and Smith if the matchups are good, and turn to Murray to finish the game from that point on. Schultz could be the backup of any of them, set at F8 too.

I would probably also turn to the best right-handed SP/RP available instead of Hendrix to get a long guy in case the game turns into overtime and as an extra starting pitcher to platoon with Lady Baldwin.
