Is it wrong to suggest...

Is it wrong to suggest (especially to beginners) that some franchise leagues would be a lot more fun and fair if they had lower salary caps?

A franchise like the Yankees is always going to have a big advantage because they have more good and great cards to choose from. However, at least if there is a reasonable salary cap, like 140-80 million, more franchises would be viable?

I know some of it is just personal preference, of course, but if we are being open and honest doesn't a franchise league with a 100 million dollar cap give more people the chance to pick their favorite franchise AND at least having a chance to stay competitive?

I just can't imagine any beginner having luck with a franchise league that has a 250 million dollar cap, and a lesser franchise. And if my assumption is true the list of franchises , and participants shrink dramatically.

Nope. I never set up a Franchise League higher than 125m, usually they are around 100m.

my very first online strat-o-matic team: http://365.strat-o-matic.com/team/8093

been hooked ever since. haha!!!

but seriously, i think if they are not familiar with the actual game, they should try smaller salary caps in general.
