his cards never live up to his record. in 2008 he was perfect. 41 out of 41 in save opportunities and 2-0 w/l record but his card in the 2008 game always under performed. his ATG card allows gives up too many HR's

The card does have 2 #s. And in ATG every pitcher gives up too many HRs because of how many HRs are on the hitters cards. Even a pitcher who never gave up HRs in real life may be on tabs for 25 in ATG. Plus while those pitchers who gave up HRs in real life often could bear down and avoid the HRs with men on base that is not duplicated in strat.

So a perfect 41 for 41 in strat is going to be all but impossible. Also factor in for ATG the closer rule is not in effect so he does not gain the advantage of his closer rating separating him from any other generic reliever come the 9th inning.

we don't have the 2008 card. i've used it in the 2008 game which has the closer effects. we have the 2004 which also has a hr 1-10 on the 5 spot. i've got murray on a team. 150 ips and only 12 hrs so far. only 16 games to go
