Super Advanced Cards

PostMon Nov 28, 2016 6:17 pm

How hard would it be for Strat to make all the ATG cards the super advanced versions?

1946 Hal Newhouser is a E
Here are his splits
vs RHB .184 .238 .270 .508
vs LHB .228 .326 .292 .618

Hitters with a 20 for gbA is really annoying.

They don't accept the generally available stats. And L-R splits pre-1970's are questionable. Hal gets all his research done independently.

For seasons that have cadillac cards available I see no reason why the cadillac card could not be used.
On the other hand for the chevy seasons I doubt strat would make up cadillac cards for individual players.

I don't think they CAN make cadillac cards for individual players. It's sort of an all-or-nothing thing.

Pretty sure you are right on that. Though if they can make those fantasim abominations.....

I do think if we still have any chevy cards that have cadillac alternatives available they should be switched out. And I wish the selections for new cards would take in to account which seasons are cadillac and favor those years.

Valen - sounds like a good idea, is there a list of cadillac seasons that exists?

If you go to the strato site where computer disk seasons can be purchased and scan through the prices will usually tip you off. The chevy seasons are cheaper than the cadillac.

And there you have it. $24 vs $13.

Exactly, you hit that nail on the head. Once upon a time I went to the trouble of making a spreadsheet of which seasons were which. At that time I was planning on completing a collection of every computer game and season available. According to that spreadsheet that was going to come to a little over 2 grand. Scrapped that plan after I found out Strat had invalidated about a dozen of my previously purchased seasons via their DRM nonsense. Saw no reason to pay for something twice, especially with no guarantees it would not happen again.

If I still had that spreadsheet I would send it to you to maybe save you a little trouble of making your own list using the prices.
