In one of the recent Indians Blue Jays playoff games the Indians' batters grounded out at least four straight times to the second baseman.
Living in an American League city and being just a child for the 1980s I did not see Bruce Sutter pitch much, was he famous for not throwing wild pitches or something?
Like the gentleman said, we are playing more games than have ever occurred in real life, and statistical anomalies happen when you have tens of millions of dice rolls.
Anecdotes and stories can be interesting but data is what matters.
