How HAL sets the hook

my interest has been mediocre at best with this game lately. then tonight HAL sets the hook and reels me right in AGAIN. i won 2 game 7's both in the 9th inning to reach the finals. :D

I thought he usually just looked at my quick hook settings, then filed-off the points on all of them...
