OF defense looks scary. Get a 1 in CF at least

Fair enough.

I don't know if it'll actually be that bad. I had a season where I played Earl Webb (a 4) in my OF, and he wasn't very good, (18 errors, 9 assists, and 15 of 66 x outs) but on the other hand, he hit well (.300, 61 doubles, 19 HR, 99 RBI), and he's no Chuck Klein.

I am currently using both Medwick and North on another team in Royals '80.

Medwick has 0 errors, 10 OF assists, and got to 32/46 x outs in LF (33/48 overall)
North has 5 errors, 15 OF assists, and got to 56/66 x outs in CF

That's not too shabby, is it? I once used a 1 Willie McGee and he got to 83/88 in CF

There are several better ways to spend almost 9 million on an outfielder than Ducky Medwick, starting with Harry Heileman. Ed Delahanty's 8.21M card would give you another 700k to play with if still available.

But why ask for people to rate your team and then blow off what they have to say?

Swap out Medwick for the little Joe Jackson card in LF, then swap out Billy North for the little Kenny Lofton card. Use the excess cash to get off of Don Drysdale - there are teams in Shea 71, Ebbets 20, and PNC (mine) and you will play more games in those parks and against those teams than you will against the one guy in a RH park (and only Comiskey 55 at that) who happens to be in your division. Probably you want to go with a lefty there like Irv Young or Mark Langston.

Exactly right.
I would use the OFs suggested here before the ones you currently have listed- and the other suggestions of Joe Jax is good as well.
Would prefer one good RP that can rack up the innings to go along with the specialists.

Also, the last sentence makes a lot of sense.

I wasn't blowing off what people have to say. This is my 4th team - I'm still learning. The reason I mentioned the stats of Medwick and North is because I don't know if those are good/adequate stats - to me, they don't seem so bad, but again, I'm dealing with a limited sample size.

Delahanty, unfortunately, is unavailable.

Heilman, same price as Medwick - that intrigues me, and I will consider it (I'm using that Medwick on a current team and he's been a beast, but I do appreciate the comment).
