Jesse Burkett

Drafted him in the Old School League. Anybody got numbers on him? Just curious now that he's been signed for the season...

This post has been up for quite a bit without any comment, PJ, so I thought I'd offer at least some response; I had Jesse on a couple of small-ball type squads awhile back and he seemed to do well. I cannot retrieve those teams - they are not among the ones on my page - thus I cannot offer any numbers, but perhaps this is of some assistance.

I guess that's a good enough review. It's a limited pool, so comparisons to other leagues won't be exact.

Not on my team, but Burkett is playing in Forbes '54 (an unfavorable park for him imo) and did quite well last season in our SBDL league.

.317, .378 obp, 114 runs scored at $100 mil.

My shuffle team is a shuffled mess so far.....guess that is what happens when you have no plan.

I've got a pretty conservative balanced plan. Got a lot of pitching to acquire, though...

Here is Jesse on a 80m small ball team that had the best record in a 24 team league before (of course) imploding in the first round of the playoffs. I like him.

Gonna be interesting to see how Burkett and all the others do in a shuffle league. We've really lost some of the top pitchers and some of the better value pitchers in the shuffle.
