3 homers off the bench

Last night, Jimmy Bloodworth came into the game as an injury replacement... and hit 3 homers and drove in 6. He was 3-for-33 on the season coming into the game.

Oddly enough, McGwire also had 3 homers in that game. I don't think I've ever had two players with 3 homers apiece in the same game.

That IS one for the ages. Play long enough and you can see almost anything happen.

Cool . I had Sweet Lou Johnson do that once....like 10 years ago. Rare enough that I still remember.
