at first glance of the draft page at diamonddope draft it seems like things will be fairly straightforward, so hopefully i wont have too many questions and hold the rest of you back.

For now i"d like to ask the following:
I see that each manager is allotted 26 spots, which i assume is for 25 players and a stadium. will there be any roster adjustments allowed when the season starts? are we limited to 25 players or can we adjust after the AD? does diamonddope remove the players selected or do we need to consult the draft list when our turn arrives?

Frank, I think I can answer your questions.

DiamondDope is pretty straightforward, especially for this kind of draft where you don't need to use proxies. DD removes all players that have been drafted from the players available, so there is no need to track other team's picks. The 26th spot is indeed for a ballpark.

Once all team shave been drafted on Diamond Dope, you have to fill out your SOM draft card with the players selected on Diamond Dope. But after the league drafts on the SOM site, you can make any changes you want, just like any other league.

thanks for the information. sounds like a great format. i've always been intimated by diamond dope drafts but it seems like it should be fairly smooth.

Oh, is there any rule of thumb as far as when the next season starts, that is do some seasons run concurrentyl?

The other thing you can do if you only want 24 players, is skip a pick.
then when you fill out your draft card, you pick a lower version of one of your players and add a guy like ernie andres

Frank, I'm not sure about how often the seasons start for this league. Often times the next league starts at the halfway point of the current season.

Guys I'm going to have to back out of this league series. What SOM did to Salt has me pretty upset, and I'm not going to be buying any more credits. I will hopefully have enough to finish my punishment in the other DD league series (I started at the #1 pick, and so it is all downhill. At least for my managing skills). I've enjoyed these leagues, but I can't support a company that treats its customers the way SOM has been. Thanks for the fun in the other leagues, and may you all continue to be champions.

Fellas, thanks for answering Frank's questions. I'm working about 14-15 hours a day lately with very little internet access. Frank, like Daniel said, you may skip the 25th pick since most of us play with 24 players. And as far as each season's draft-start, I'm thinking of bumping it up a little from the common mid-season mark. Somewhere around the 40-50 game mark.
