Please explain this one

Just curious if anyone can explain what happened in this game. In the bottom of the 9th, Hal removed an F9 closer with 2 outs and a 1 run lead and replaced him with an F0 starter who had just pitched a complete game the previous game. Of course he gave up a 2 run homer and the game was lost. I have seen some things but I cannot figure this one out. Thoughts?

Did you have Oliver checked as "avoid righties" by any chance? Other than that, I'm stumped.

No...Oliver was simply listed as one of two closers.

Ok, no explanation yet. I have another question about this game which is probably simple. Under the play by play "Roll" column the game winning HR hit off of my F0 starter in relief, the roll is listed as h&r What does that mean?

"h&r" means the play was a hit and run. In this case a home run was rolled off the pitcher's card.

My other closer is Arthur Rhodes a LH He is listed first as closer. No lh/rh limitations. Just closers

After 119 views and no plausible explanations I have to assume, as suggested in a previous post, that Hal was passed out.
