Why do managers still sign up for ATG8 leagues?

PostFri Jan 28, 2022 4:47 pm

Just curious what I'm missing. There are far too many players in either set to be considered "All Time Greats". That said, if ATG9 has the latest players and all those from ATG8, why do managers continue to enroll in the ATG8 set?

Is it because they don't want to adjust their methodologies based on the old pricing model? Just curious.

I just find it frustrating trying to find an ATG9 league to join sometimes. There are so many leagues and sometimes they fill slowly. But if ATG8 no longer existed the ATG9 leagues would fill much faster.

How often do ATG8 leagues fill? I always just scroll past so I assumed they weren't very active.

Since ATG 9's release some 22 months ago, I haven't played any ATG8 leagues. ATG 9 had several salary balancing improvements.

A good reason to play ATG 8 over ATG9 is a SUPERIOR bullpen AI engine.....The ONE thing I wish we could do is return to the previous bullpen logic.
