this is the team I put together, mostly using Rich's team....

so far thru 12 games averaging 10.25 walks per game....9-3 record

highest scoring team so far, 2nd best run differential

NICE. Keep us posted on your progress.

Off to a great start, although Tudor and Cooper might not be the best fits as they are facing a ton of righty batters as is your entire staff, you might not need 3 lefty killing relievers either.

But a fantastic start to the season nonetheless. Good luck.

thanks for the advice, I need all the help I can get,,,, there are still nuances that escape me, like actually managing AGAINST the teams I am facing as opposed to just putting together a team I think might be successful....I feel like I should probably have learned that by now, which keeps me from actually being more than an average manager...lol

I think team OBP is a stat that tends to get under-valued. There are non-linear pay-offs that don't get reflected if you're using individual runs created to measure the strength of a team. That's my sense of it, though I don't have any math to prove it.

I always look for OBP in core lineup positions, which is most. A couple positions, depending on whether the league is DH or lower or higher salary cap, or the platoon mix, may necessitate other card attributes. But yes, OBP is highly valued here.

Amazing ... I was a victim of one of your teams in a semi-finals loss... and I had a very good team...

Nice team, Rich. Wise approach. Fill the bases up, and then those X chances that go bad explode into runs, runs, runs . . . especially on balls hit to 3rd.

Damn 3rd base is a nightmare. LOL

One thing that find awesome is how competitive every team is. Not one team with a winning % in the .600’s or under .400.
