Cheap pinch-runner POLL

Now that Frank Taveras is overpriced in ATG9 as a cheap pinch runner option, who do you guys like under $700K instead?

I voted for Wathan, you need a backup catcher regardless, he might as well have some value as a runner when most cheap catchers have feet of stone.

I prefer my pinch runners have a 17 speed AND be a quality base stealing threat. Such a shame what they did to Taveras. Was one of the best values in the set as a pinch runner at .50

Patek at .78 would be my first choice nowadays.

What really stinks is there aren't any decent options at the .50 salary. A B steal rating and 1-12 speed at best doesn't make it worth it to employ a pinch runner as a strategy unless you're willing to spend at least .60 for a rarely used part time job.

another Strat flaw. should be able to designate 2 PR's. example. Coleman/Brock platoon in LF. have both designated so Hal should use one while the other is playing. Jim Jackson was my fav. great Defensive sub and legitimate SB threat. Butler is also great in both rolls but he only subs in center until HAL goes to work.

Doesn't Leflore have a high likelihood of getting picked off compared to the others listed here? Or am I not getting something from the official explanation of card coding for steals and baserunning?

You should also be able to designate TWO pinch hitters.

And I've been dreaming about the day that you can put a second player on your draft card behind your first choice.
