its not that you had 2 guys ahead of him. That third column is a platoon PH, and by listing him there it means that whenever Huff came up against a lefty, smoak pinch hit for him if available. This even overrides the dont ph vs settings. You can set a back up for Huff in your lineups in case he gets hurt, but make sure you have him listed as Backup 1. That player will only go into the lineup if Huff gets hurt. Otherwise HAL will choose whomever he thinks would be the best DH for you.
