no more SP* ratings. makes sense to me, and I like the rest days during playoffs as well.

So we were sold a bogus Rating Guide. There are 11 or so SP* listed

Kind of a massive change with zero input from the Strat fan base...

Of course, the old rule made no sense in single-season sets given no one has 40 starts any more...

From SOM today:

All starting pitchers will need at least 4 days of rest between starts in Strat-O-Matic 365 leagues using modern single-season player sets, beginning with the 2020 season. Some pitchers will continue to receive 4-day starter asterisks from Strat-O-Matic, but they will be meaningless in the context of Strat-O-Matic 365 (exception: if these pitchers appear in ATG). This rule was initially designed to make today's pitchers compatible with older eras of baseball, but it does not make sense for self-contained modern seasons. The playoff schedule will be updated to include more rest days as a result of this change.

Well then, they should also have rest days in the regular season as well TBH. I mean no one plays 162 games straight with no break. Maybe 1 simulated rest day a week?

This was my second thought. Occasional rest days to mimic real-life scheduling would be interesting.

First thought? I wonder how/if the pricing structure will change for SP?
