So will we be playing a 162 game season based off the 60-game stats? Or will they really only give us a 60-game season for online? A 60 game season for the same price seems lackluster at best. Only slightly better than an "imagined" set. Just give us the cards and let us play 162.

MLB played a 60 game season so SOM may have a 60 game online season.

I've seen this notion posted previously and didn't think a response was needed. Why would SOM change a 20 year online tradition for a one year blip? That's a lot of unnecessary programming.

Of course the online game will have a 162 game season.

This is what I thought, but I kept seeing people post that it would be a 60-game season, which I thought strange as well. Also just occurred to me, that this would be the 19th year of strat online? I've been doing this for almost half my life. Weird.

Also, I see a lot of opinions on the imagined set. And I get the haters of it, but isn't it what they did with the Negro League stats? (Granted the reasoning was better)

It is not like these were complete: https://www.baseball-reference.com/regi ... bson002jos

So they did an OK job on the extrapolations I thought. At least with those.

I agree, more options are better.

To me the BIG question with the 60 game set is how injury ratings will be handled in a 162 game environment. If some type of adjustment isn't made to the injury ratings, EVERY SINGLE PLAYER in the 60 game set will be eligible for a 15 game injury.

I'm sure it will be scaled by the ratio (2.7) of games played.

When do you think the online game will be lauched ? For now, I can't have sneak peak of new cards. Last year, I believe we could see cards on the february 26th. The set was launched around march 5th.

Always follow the money. They will priortize getting the new cards out because that will increase revenue. I think the new season start time will be close to normal. Things like new ATG cards, well, that is not directly tied to revenue so that can wait.
