Chacin had his best stuff and was 'painting the black' with every pitch. A beautiful game to watch. He walked 2 Breyers batters. The tension was mounting with every inning after the 6th. Chacin appeared oblivious himself to the mounting history until two were out in the 9th. Only then, did he allow himself one deep sigh and a slow trip around the mound. Chacin recorded 10 strikeouts. The Breyers offense proved no trouble in the bottom of the 9th.
Jeremy Hellickson(3-1) suffered the loss. 'I gave it everything I had. It's probably the greatest day of my life,' Chacin said. 'I was out there focusing on my catcher's glove, that's all. I just concentrated on pitching my game.'
