This league gives each drafted franchise an opportunity to win the world series. This is inspired by mbrake's old theme league, but with greater flexibility, and a $70 M salary cap.

Rules/process:

1. sign up - 24 managers
2. random draft order established
3. draft your franchises - 1 each
4. Rosters start with the players assigned by strat to each manager's franchise (unleashed 2017u). ballpark = franchise park
5. trades permitted between franchises. These initial trades must be posted on the boards. You can trade players or draft picks to other franchises without limit, except the time limit in 6 below. Of course, you can only trade away players that you own - either because they were carded by strat to your franchise in 2017u, or because you have already traded to acquire their rights.
6. At precisely 1 week of the time that the last (24th) franchise was drafted, trades are temporarily frozen (see after autodraft period, below). Any trades not posted (and confirmed!) within that time limit are disqualified.
7. "keepers" and "cuts" declared by each manager. Must have 25 keepers. Remaining owned franchise players (or players acquired in trades) are cuts, but please list them. Max salary of keepers cannot exceed $70 M in total.
8. Players who were cut, or who belong to the 6 non-drafted franchises are "free agents".
9. 3 round free agent draft, conducted on the forum boards, in reverse order of franchise draft. Free agent draft is not serpentine. After each pick, that team drafting must "cut" a player, who immediately becomes a free agent, added to the FA pool.
10. After the 3 round FA draft on the forum boards, Teams are drafted using the game engine.Team names should be the same as the real life franchise name. Each manager must draft their 25 keepers, as updated during the 3 round forum boards draft. **There will be waivers**.
11. After the initial autodraft (and before waivers), trades can again be made, without any limit, except that the 25 man roster must be maintained, even during the preseason.
12. The commissioner (me) will review the franchise rosters after the autodraft, to ensure that they were compliant with the original franchise rosters, adjusted for trades and draft picks and cuts (as documented on the boards). If an autodraft is in error, the offending manager must accept a trade offer from the manager who "owned" the player, if the owning player chooses. These "correcting trades" must be posted within 32 hours of the autodraft, and must be accepted before waivers). If a player was not owned by any another manager (i.e. the 25 man declared keeper roster), and was not on the autodrafting manager's 25 man keeper's roster, then the player must be deleted immediately. If there are several non-owned players on a roster after all required correcting trades are completed, the first waiver pick must be a $500K salary player, with a deletion of the offending non-owned player, repeated until all non-owned players are deleted (i.e. in the first rounds of the waiver draft).
13. After the waivers are processed, players can be dropped and added without limit, or traded, except that the rosters must be 25 at all times after the keepers are first declared (no more, no less, except when required to cut non-owned players before the waiver draft), and the total salaries must not exceed $70 MM. At this point, it is not necessary to post trades on the forum boards, because the game engine itself is the method of completing (and documenting) trades. That is, after the waiver draft is completed, there are no further roster restrictions, except the cap, and the 25 player requirement.
