Hands down, who is the best value offensive player in the set (2014)?

1. Turner
2. Soler
3. Dickerson

the teams I've gotten all 3 on have never missed the playoffs.

Rodriguez & Walters have been great value.

I'm guessing Marc would like Hanley, Wieters, maybe Jay...

They have all been good as well.

On the pitching side I've had great results with Davis & Rasmus.

I think Brantley is worth the money...but I don't think that answers your question about the best value, just that he's appropriately priced.

Some great values (IMHO): Delmon Young, Ian Desmond, Matt Wieters....and, at the higher end of the price range, Miggy

All 3 are fantastic. I've only managed to get Turner once, he's probably the most popular of the bunch. Soler has been a fixture for me, and Dickerson more than earns his pay the couple times I was able to get him

The best player for the money for me all year has been Elian Herrera---I finally decided to start him at 3B against RH with great success (platooning with Green or Baker who both were poor on this team) instead of using him as the usual backup everywhere but C (usually he covers 1b also with whoever moving to 1B) , but he was a great value to me as a sub on many teams.

I'll take a guess at what J-Pav's theory is. There are a lot of good offensive players from the high 4s the high 6s. J.D Martinez, Cruz, Kemp, Cuddyer, Dickerson, Soler, N. Walker, Duda,Nieuwenhuis, Kiermaier, Encarnacion, Laroche, Pollock, Morneau, Ortiz, McHenry, Gonzalez , Ozuna etc. So if you are spending 48-50 million on offense and you spend 12 million on Trout you are losing out on the opportunity to stack your team with those guys. Put another way, there did not seem to be a huge differential between guys at the top and some guys who cost much less.

I had Trout on one team. He had 86 rbis..Sean Rodriguez had 88! For my part, I thought getting a power park and stacking it with a team of power bats was the best way to field a good team this year.
