Has there ever been an "unleashed" hitter with fewer plate appearances that David Hensley? He will definitely shake up some league drafts.

I don’t like this at all, not a worthy candidate

Unleashed has always been a gimmick. Probably best to avoid unleashed leagues if you don’t like the gimmick.

I usually like the gimmicks but this one is a rich one: 3rd salary for a 29 AB season and one more big player in the Astros lineup.

Every once in a while, players come out of nowhere with seasons like this.

More power to a manager if they can put together a winning $80m team with Hensley on it.

That being said... why didn't Soto (LAA) get a card? He had more AB's.

You can play UNLEASHED or not. It's your call. Price the cards right and include them all.

To me the question is why did SOM even gen up a card for him? Seems rather ridiculous.

This is correct. I saw that and I have Royce Lewis in a keeper league and got excited he might be included since he had 40ABs when Hensley had 29. Makes no sense

This is a joke. There used to be a little logic on unleashed players and this broke the mold. Probably 40-50 players that could have been added before Hensley if they needed another player.

Some will use the logic that they priced him accordingly but that doesn't work for keeper leagues. Build a solid team of good players and then someone drafts Hensley and has one of the best cards in the set. BS

The whole unleashed thing is played out. I got screwed in a keeper league by a player being listed as unleashed. Just "leash" everyone and be clear about the PA/IP minimums for being carded, so everyone is on same page and there is no luck element in hoping your guy gets carded in regular set. Nobody really wants to watch some small sample demon dominate a set, and impact keeper league decisions. Just end it.

Makes me feel like Keeper Leagues should just use the basic set and stay away from unleashed.
