Ut oh. I just ponied up for two teams, at least it was cheap.. I think if they can tweak a couple of things and get it working this could be fun.

Somehow. Some way. They have to figure out a way for us to enjoy the game the next morning.
The play by play is extremely difficult to understand.
And now there is no watch the game feature.

A huge play by play explanation directory would help in a big way.
I want to know what is happening on each play. Yet I can only figure out about 1/4 of what is being recorded.

Three basic run plays...right?

I guess I will start here...

Can someone explain to me what is going on in each of these three plays...
(Without the showing of the dice rolls, how in the world are you expected to figure this out?)

Right (Pro Set) [D: 4-3, Run]
OOnsideG Will Shields (RG) - 1 yards
Other Battle Will Shields (RG) - 1 yards
Other Battle Will Shields (RG) - 1 yards
Run O.J. Simpson (HB) - 8 yards
Tackle Les Richter (MLB)

2-2 MYR 48 (12:10) Line Buck (Pro Set) [D: 4-3, Run]
OLG Ed Budde (LG) - 0 yards
Other Battle Ed Budde (LG) - 0 yards
Other Battle Ed Budde (LG) - 0 yards
Run Marion Motley(FullBack) - 1 yards
Tackle Les Richter (MLB)

3-1 MYR 49 (11:32) Off Tackle - Left (Pro Set) [D: 4-3, Pass]

I have no idea what all the references to the guards are but what happened was:

1st and 10, Simpson run for 8 yards, I'd guess on a linebuck, as the MLB made the tackle
2nd and 2, Motley for 1 yard, again I'd guess a linebuck
3rd and 1, Motley again on a linebuck, for 5 yards, and a First Down

Never played any football version of Strat before the games started Monday but this is my understanding of this information.

First line gives down, yards needed for a first down, the line of scrimmage and game time left in the quarter. (3 and 1 at the MYR 49 yard line) (11:32 left in Quarter X at the beginning of the play)
First line also gives offensive play, offensive formation, defensive formation and defensive emphasis. (An Off tackle run to the left side is the offensive play, the offensive is in a Pro Set, the defense is in a 4-3 with an emphasis on stopping the pass)
Second, Third and Fourth lines Do not understand the significance of these types of lines yet. Help?
Fifth line Result of play. (Fullback Motley gained 5 yards)
Sixth line Tackle made by middle linebacker Les Richter
Final line FD The play resulted is a first down.

Cannot see it but the next segment should start:

1-10 XXX 46 to show it is now first down with ten yards to go for another first down at the 46 yard line of team XXX (as the ball crossed the 50 yard line and is no longer on the MYR side of the field)

I agree with your description.
Regarding the lines about LG and RG guys, I assume it mentions the yard(s) they have helped for or not.
For instance in the example you vape detailed Ed Budde (LG) would have support the runner to gain 3X1 yard on a total of 5 yd run.

I am maybe fully wrong. Let's investigate

O-Line ratings don't work that way, at least not in the board game. typically they come into play on a check on the defensive cards, similar to an error check in baseball. The reading is usaully something like:

Onside Guard X +5 or +15

Meaning if the guard makes the ratings check,( See below) the play goes for 5 yards is he fails it goes for 15. There is no added yardage of one yard increments based on rating in the board game. Now maybe there is something in the CD-ROM version, which I've never played that does this, but I've never heard of it if there is.

Making an O-Line Run Ratings Check: O-lineman are rated either 0, 4, 5 or 6 as run blockers. A check will come up only on the defensive cards as mentioned above, you make the check by comparing the indicator die number ( has to be a 4 5 or 6 cause we're on the defensive cards ;) ) to the O-lineman's run block rating. A 0 will always fail and give up the higher yardage result. a 4 makes a check if the indicator die was a 4, a 5 makes the check if the die is 5 or 4, and a 6 always makes the check.

So is there a game replay option, or are they working on it? Maybe it doesn't work for the trial leagues?

response from Strat concerning replay option:

The game replay link is there by mistake and will be removed. The feature is not currently available but will be added in the next few weeks.
