1. 2021 Mike Zunino TB C 1(0)e1 33 HRs in only 333 ABs! A full 8 ballpark HR chances on each side of card. Slugging percentage of .559 obliterates current Rays catchers. Would be Rays best and most expensive catcher by far. A much needed card for the catching-challenged Rays. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/91832/2021/1/2021

Stumping for John Jaso. An 8R lefty stick at Catcher with passable defense for probably around the $1.50M-$2M range would be a beautiful, beautiful thing. If you vote for Maas, you should vote for Jaso for the same reasons. Thank you.

I like Jaso, but I don't think we will get him in that price range.

Since we're stumping for catchers, the Rays can really use Mike Zunino. Their best catcher is Navarro at 2.67.

1913 Tris Speaker BOS CF -- career high in triples (22) and .441 OBP, .363 BA, 46 steals. Should be elite defense and speed.

From the "informed decisions" thread, defense is CF/LF/RF-1(-4)e25. Elite? No.

25 errors is way too much. I cannot see anyone choosing this Speaker card over his others. Please use your vote for someone else more deserving.

That is a dreadful lot of errors. He'd need an arm that good just recovering all the balls that got through him.

When voting, I favor the guys with no cards. I also play primarily the low-cap formats, and so new "pieces and parts" are always most welcome.

From that perspective, we desperately need more lefty hitting SS with low salaries, but I'm not sure many exist. '66 Dick McAuliffe would be a nice add as a hitter, but the defense might be too shaky.

I like that McAuliffe card as a lefty 3b. Good power and OBP.

Glad to see the early support for the holdover 2000 Andruw Jones card. Plays much differently than his 2005 version. He deserves a second card with the career he had.

My pitch for Gene Tenace. A catcher who is an on-base machine. From Mr. Cummings projections:

1977 Gene Tenace, SD, Bats-R, BAL-2R, C-4(+1)e7, 1b-3e5, 3b-4e41, 15 Game INJ Risk (Only 1 INJ Rating)

LH—2b-5 3b-0 HR-3.5 BB-31 .126/.425/.344, 0.770 OPS
RH—2b-4.1 3b-1.4 HR-4 BB-38 .250/.556/.545, 1.101 OPS

There are many cards we vote in that simply aren't played. This card will be used often!

And Tenace would be a nice addition for the Padres, as they don't have a lot of options at catcher...

Correct me if I'm wrong, but aren't the deadball era players' error ratings "normalized" to play across eras in SOM? So the 1913 Speaker would have a much better "e" rating than e25.

Tris' 1912 card has an e4 rating, but he actually had 18 errors that year. I also see where the 1906 Nap Lajoie has an e11 rating, but in real life he actually had 21 errors at 2B that year. I could go on, but seems this is the case.

If so, yes, vote for Tris! :D
