23.1 Nominations are Open! [Closed]

PostWed Feb 15, 2023 8:28 am

Greetings,

We are now taking nominations for the 23.1 card add.

Please note our usage parameters for nominations -
Minimums:
300 PA
100 IP Starters (S or S/R)
50 IP Relievers

AL/NL cards from 1876-2021 are eligible.

Our 23.1 parameters are as follows.
1. One nomination per member only
2. When we hit 40 unique nominations we will begin voting (after Andy posts card analysis)
3. We will have one poll of 50 cards; the top 25 will be added
4. Next "x" highest vote getters will get another shot in 23.2

Please submit nominations in a 'Year Player Team Position Comments' format.

To be included in the 23.1 poll:
1963 Elston Howard, C 38
1939 Terry Moore STL OF 37
2009 Shin-Soo Choo CLE OF 37
1983 LaMarr Hoyt CWS P 36
1993 Gregg Jefferies, S, 1B StL 35
1997 Denny Neagle ATL SP(L) 35
2000 Andruw Jones, Braves, CF 31
1977 Gene Tenace C 28
1963 Albie Pearson OF 26
1886 Henry Boyle SP SLM(NL) 26

1. 2021 Mike Zunino TB C 1(0)e1 33 HRs in only 333 ABs! A full 8 ballpark HR chances on each side of card. Slugging percentage of .559 obliterates current Rays catchers. Would be Rays best and most expensive catcher by far. A much needed card for the catching-challenged Rays. https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/91832/2021/1/2021
