It might seem that way, but there are more cards in ATG from the 50s than there are from the 90s, and the per team count is substantially higher (160 50s teams, 519 cards - 278 90s teams, 492 cards - per my most recent analysis).

True, if you consider ATG only. However, you can play a 1990s only league using Mystery Series cards. The 1950s does not have that feature. With the amount of cards, you can not create a custom 1950s only set. Not enough cards. (I like to take the work out commissionering by creating a unique set, rather than monitoring compliance.)

One possible reason is the Yankees, Indians, Dodgers, Braves and maybe the White Sox monopolized the 1950's.

If you look at just the card counts. I look at the card count versus the total number of teams that played in each decade.

Here are the numbers for 50s through the 90s:

These are very interesting numbers. It would seem that on a per-team basis, every one of the other decades are roughly equal, at about 3 players per team. But the 1990s are seriously under-represented, with less than two players per team.

I'm not sure why that might be. Does anyone have any theories as to have this may have happened? Have we made many adds of whole teams from the 1990s?

I feel like the opportunity to make 2000s adds took away from the 1990s adds to a certain degree. Recency bias.

I’m hoping for Moseby because I’ve wanted to field a strong Bell/Moseby/Barfield Of for awhile now.
