1. 2021 Brandon Lowe TB 2b left-handed hitting second basemen with 39 HRs. Eight ballpark homerun chances on each side of card. Only one other lefty batting 2B in MLB history with 39 HRs (Cano). 5. 1882 Joe Start PRO 1B. Start was 4 years old when baseball was invented and 16 when he began playing as an amateur before the Civil War. By the time the NL debuted in 1876 he was already 33. Yet despite the constantly changing rules and equipment that characterized the sport's earliest years, Start was productive for the duration of his 28-year career, with an OPS+ of 121 as a professional. 1882, his age 39 year, is his best eligible season: .329/.342/.407 for a 142 OPS+.

This was Grimsley's best season, and his card is better than his numbers. Grimsley is the only 20 game winner in Expos history! 19. 1977 Gene Tenace. He led the league in walks and hbp that year. 4 on Defense, but also plays 1b and 3b. He played 893 games at catcher and 627 at first base, and finished with 46.8 WAR. While the current 2005 Jones has more power and slightly higher OPS, the 2000 card is more usable, as it has a far higher BA and higher OBP, which will keep the line moving and the rallies alive more than the 2005 all or nothing card.

Lloyd Moseby and Wes Covington would definitely be nice upgrades.

Where is the Carson Bigbee love? It gives the Pittsburgh-PRE a nice top the the lineup player. GREAT D in all outfiled positions and a A Stealer.

I wonder if people consider probable pricing? I like that Salasor Perez card, but would you pay over 6 bucks for that on base pct?

(As I've said before, we all have different agendas. But you can tell who the High cap players and franchise players are ;) )

Karger didn't have much of a career, that was his only good year.

Sal Perez meanwhile has had an outstanding career and currently has only one card for one of his worst years, and 2021 was his career year (apart from 2020 which is ineligible).

Personally I don't really anticipate pricing when voting. Sometimes guys will be overpriced and sometimes underpriced and I haven't really noticed a pattern as to which guys end up in which basket. And since I don't play franchise I'm mostly voting for guys who don't have a card or guys like Perez who would receive an upgrade from the nominated card.

For me. I’m of the opinion that every MVP and CY season should be represented (I know not everyone agrees) so that leads my voting pattern.

Some of the players' seasons look good from a cursory glance, but don't translate well to ATG.

My never-ending commercial to go LOOK AT THE ACTUAL STATS BEFORE VOTING.

How about some love for Brandon Lowe? Rays need more hitters and Lowe gives ATG another option as a slugging left-handed hitting second basemen.
