21.4 Nominations are Open!

PostSat Oct 30, 2021 2:34 pm

Greetings,

We are now taking nominations for the 21.4 card add.

Please note our usage parameters for nominations -

Minimums:
300 PA
100 IP Starters
50 IP Relievers

Please note:

All AL/NL cards from 1871-2019 are eligible per Strat (Note: They are looking at adding more Negro League cards to the ATG set, but not via our process at this time)

Our 21.4 parameters are as follows.
1. One nomination per member only
2. When we hit 40 unique nominations we will begin voting (after Andy posts card analysis)
3. We will have one poll of 50 cards; the top 22* will be added
4. Any ties for the final spot will be added in 22.1
5. Next "x" highest vote getters will get another shot in 22.1

Please submit nominations in a 'Year Player Team Position Comments' format.

To be added with 21.4:
1974 Mike Jorgensen MON 1b 30
1884 Jim Whitney Pitcher BSN 30
1936 Joe DiMaggio NY OF 30

To be included in the 21.4 poll:
1982 Terry Kennedy- SD 29
2015 AJ Pollock ARZ CF 28
1879 Deacon White CIN C 27
2004 Cesar Izturis SS LAN 26
2016 Jean Segura 24
2001 Eric Chavez, OAK 3b 22
1920 Pete Alexander CUBS 21
2007 Jorge Posada, Yankees c 21
1899 Fred Tenney BSB 21
1898 Jimmy Collins 3b 20

1. 1972 Sparky Lyle NYY LHRP AL-leading 35 saves 1.92 era 1.05 whip MVP-3 CYA-7. Only 3 HRs allowed in 107.2 innings. Big improvement over 2 current cards.

Guys, I'm always glad to give you a sneak peek at how these cards will perform. MANY of your requests are already here in the "Nomination Ideas" Threads; just use the Search function on upper right side, then type the year and player name to search for that specific player/card.

If you want to know about a card not listed here so far, ask me and I'll let you know what you'll get BEFORE YOU NOMINATE a card that you may be less than happy with.

DON'T CLUTTER UP THE NOMINATIONS THREAD WITH REQUESTS. Create a new post with your request or add to it one of the appropriate sticky threads, like OUTFIELDER IMPROVEMENTS, for example.

Thanks Andy. What about 1983 Boggs? Led league in hitting and on base and it's a 5R card, so I'm thinking it might be a different and cheaper way to use him.

Put requests on a separate thread, or just add this one for Boggs, for example, to INFIELDER IMPROVEMENTS.

6. 2006 Kenji Johjima C SEA. batted .298 with 18 homeruns against RHP. Seattle desperately needs a Catcher that can hit righties. Johjima would platoon well with Wilson to give Seattle competence at the position.
