What about strike year 1994 Ontiveros? (I know he has pre-injury bad SP and good RP card from the 80's)

It's a good season. With injuries taking 6 seasons from him, though, he just doesn't have the career path of some of those other guys. I'll put up stats later.

Rick Reed NYM 15 years, No Card. 1997 208 innings 1.02 whip
Pete Schourek CIN 11 years No Card 1995 190 innings 1.067 whip
Bill Swift SF 13 years No Card 1993 232 innings 1.074 whip

A big upgrade from his one card is 1992 Bob Tewksbury STL. 233 innings, 1.017 whip

Maybe Dennis Martinez' lowest whip season of 1992 MON would be a slight upgrade. 226 innings, 1.025 whip

Andy, Thanks for making this list--and for all of your other invaluable efforts. I was pleased to see you mention Kenny Rogers. Kenny certainly deserves an SP card, and the one you've suggested is certainly a killer versus LHB.

A few other SP names from the 1990s occur to me, beyond the ones you've mention. I'm listing the pitcher's name and a possible year or year--though the best year as interpreted on an SOM card may, of course, vary:
Tim Belcher (1991)
Chris Bosio (1989 or 1993)
Pete Harnisch (1991, '93, '98 or 99)
Danny Neagle (1997)
