2. 1969 Mack Jones - The starting left fielder and darling of the expansion Montreal Expos, Jones hit a three-run home run and two-run triples in an 8–7 win over the St. Louis Cardinals in the Expos' first home victory as a franchise at Jarry Park. Jones' blast was also the first MLB home run hit outside the United States. Jones was so popular in Montreal that the left-field bleachers in Jarry Park were nicknamed "Jonesville." It's a shame that he currently has no card in ATG.

PostTue Jun 02, 2020 8:10 am

Welcome to the 20.3 Nomination thread. Please check out Andy's posts on upgrades and players w/o cards.

All MLB cards from 1871-2018 are eligible per Strat
(2019 cards are eligible starting with 20.4)

Our 20.3 parameters are as follows.
1. One nomination per member only
2. When we hit 40 unique nominations we will begin voting (after Andy posts card analysis)
3. We will have one poll of 50 cards; the top 23* will be added
4. Any ties for the final spot will be added in 20.4
5. Next "x" highest vote getters will get another shot in 20.4
6. Note: 300 PA/100 IP/50 IP minimums now in place

Please submit nominations in a 'Year Player Team Position Comments' format.

13. X1955 Sandy Koufax, Dodgers,https://ibb.co/1J2Hw4R Sandy Koufax rookie year, and should be a reasonably priced player, a good add for the no* SP core, plus he relieves. probably a 1R, with no HR chances, and GBAs on his card! Only pitched 42 innings that year, but pretty cool to think that in his is 2nd and 3rd starts ever, as a 19 year old late in the '55 championship season he hurled back to back shutouts. You had to be feeling pretty good as a Dodger fan that 1955 could be the year they finally win a WS. (To be replaced)
