Requests
2000 Denny Hocking, MIN, Bats-S, 2R BAL, 3b-3e17, 2b-3e15, SS-3e14, 1b-3e25, OF-3(-2)e2, 15 Game INJ Risk ADDED TO SET
LH--2b-0 3b-1 HR-0 BB-20 .277/.411/.299, OPS-.710
RH--2b-9.9 3b-1.4 HR-1.5 BB-10 .335/.397/.510, OPS-.907
I *think* a BarnStormer Finalist has chosen to add this card. NICE utility add, can play any position except catcher very adequately.
1986 Mike Schmidt, PHI, Bats-R, 6L BAL, 3b-1e8, 1b-3e10, 3 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-7.2 3b-0 HR-16.5 BB-12 .457/.528/1.061, OPS-1.588
RH--2b-4.4 3b-0.2 HR-8.5 BB-15 .302/.412/.634, OPS-1.046
Current 1981 Mike Schmidt, Bats-R, 4L BAL, 3b-1e28, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-13.5 3b-0 HR-21.8 BB-20 .412/.532/1.330, OPS-1.862
RH--2b-3 3b-0.6 HR-13.3 BB-22 .396/.531/.921, OPS-1.452
To my mind, there's nothing that the '86 Schmidt card does that his current 3 cards don't do, and do better (ok except the error rating).
1992 Gary Sheffield, SD, Bats-R, 2L BAL, 3b-2e19, 3 Game INJ Risk ADDED TO SET
LH--2b-4.2 3b-1.5 HR-11.3 BB-6 .459/.499/.868, OPS-1.367
RH--2b-8.9 3b-0 HR-8.4 BB-9 .392/.454/.743, OPS-1.196
Current 1996 Gary Sheffield, FLA, Bats-R, E BAL, LF/RF-4(-1)e8, 3b-4e39, 3 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-3.2 3b-0 HR-13.8 BB-27 .388/.563/.964, OPS-1.527
RH--2b-6.4 3b-0 HR-11.1 BB-34 .410/.618/.977, OPS-1.595
This would be a NICE add, especially for the Padres.
1978 Pete LaCock, KC, Bats-L, 6R BAL, 1b-3e10, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-5.8 3b-0 HR-0 BB-0 .120/.120/.174, OPS-.294
RH--2b-8.8 3b-1 HR-1.8 BB-3 .347/.365/.500, OPS-.865
He has a .50 card. Not much to see
1959 Johnny Temple, CIN, Bats-R, 2L BAL, 2b-2e22, 3 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-11.5 3b-0.8 HR-2.3 BB-15 .446/.528/.663, OPS-1.191
RH--2b-5 3b-1.7 HR-1.4 BB-15 .368/.462/.503, OPS-.965
Current 1957 Johnny Temple, CIN, Bats-R, 3L BAL, 2b-2e21, 3 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-7 3b-0 HR-0 BB-28 .413/.576/.503, OPS-1.079
RH--2b-2.4 3b-0.5 HR-0 BB-22 .288/.446/.329, .775
This card is slightly better, more hitting, still good OBP. Decent add....
1988 Manny Lee, TOR, Bats-S, 2L BAL, 2b-3e11, SS-3e52, 3b-3e53, 15 Game INJ Risk
LH--2b-5 3b-1.7 HR-1.4 BB-15 .368/.462/.503, OPS-.965
RH--2b-1.2 3b-1 HR-0 BB-6 .275/.316/.307, OPS-.623
1992 Manny Lee, TOR, Bats-S, 2R BAL, SS-2e10, 15 Game INJ Risk, 2 INJ Rating
LH--2b-1.3 3b-0 HR-0 BB-14 .184/.289/.197, OPS-.486
RH--2b-0 3b-0.2 HR-0.3 BB-15 .289/.388/.300, OPS-.688
The 85 card requested didn't meet the AB threshold. I added the 92 because it's his only season with usable defense.
In any season, he's just not very good.

I've got one more corner IFer suggestion prior to the 21.1 nominations scheduled to begin on 1-16-21.
I dug out Mo Vaughn's 1998 card from my vast but long neglected collection of SOM cards and was able to glean the card info from it and enter it into the Diamond Dope diy link on a neutral field (SI 1-10, HR 1-10), which produced the following numbers:
1998 Mo Vaughn, Red Sox, Bats L .337 40 115 .402 .591 .993
1b-3e14. Career highs in BA, SLG, OPS+. 2nd career bests in H, R, 2B, HRs, TB, OPS. Vaughn 1998 stats vs. RHP & LHP in BA, SLG, OBP, OPS, & OPS+ are nearly identical, so it should be a balanced card. 3 game max injury risk.
LH--2b- 2.4 3b-0.0 HR-11.5 BB-8 HBP-3 .400/.461/.780 OPS-1.242
RH--2b- 5.1 3b-0.25 HR-9.8 BB-5 HBP-3 .395/.440/.745 OPS-1.185
The 1998 Mo Vaughn card hits for a higher BA than other Vaughn cards and is the best Vaughn card against LHP, although the OBP is a little lower than the 1996 Vaughn card, which Andy previously posted, with numbers as set forth below:
1996 Mo Vaughn BOS Bats-L BAL-2R .326 44 143 .420. .583 1.003 1b-4e17 INJ Risk-In Game
LH--2b- 1.5 3b-0.3 HR-7.1 BB-17 .373/.501/.644 OPS-1.145
RH--2b- 3.9 3b-0.0 HR-11.9 BB-10 .378/.464/.804 OPS-1.268
https://365.strat-o-matic.com/player/2811/1690/1/90Both the 1998 and 1996 Mo Vaughn cards would be an improvement over any of the Mo Vaughn cards currently in the ATG card set.

We have 3 Gehringer cards currently, but 1929 & 1937 were agruably his best two seasons and neither is represented.
In 1937 he had a career high .371 average, a career high fielding % and won his only MVP award. .371 / .458 / .520
In 1929 he led the league in games, PA's, hits, runs, double, triples and stolen bases. .339 / .405 / .532

Maybe not an overall improvement, but what would 1952 Jackie Robinson look like? It was his career high in OBP (.440)
I'm always looking for leadoff men

I’d like maybe a second option for David Ortiz if possible. One of his big power years Currently 2007 is the only one available with 35 home runs in 2006 he hit 54, or 05’ he hit 47.
