still hoping for one of Ernie Banks''60s 1b cards - he had some decent HR numbers and hit in the .250-.265 range, he's not a 1-15 or even 12 anymore by then, but, since we have well-represented his salad years and are so meticulous in representing so many other players.

Ernie was an All-star twice as a 1b, surely one of those seasons would not diminish the player set

Looking at the 1948 Ken Keltner as a top rate add. Joe Di Maggio thought that Keltner was the best Third Baseman he's played against. Arguably the top A.L. Third baseman of the 40's. Keltner had an odd habit of looking at the ball before throwing to First. With Keltner being from Milwaukee, I now understand why 2 generations of Wisconsonites developed that same habit.

How about Bobby Doerr? He is one of the few HOFers without his best season in the ATG player set. Currently there are Doerr cards for 1942, 1946 & 1948. 1944, 1949 & 1950 may arguably be better. Here are Doerr's stats for each of those years:

1944 Bobby Doerr, 2B, Red Sox .325 13 81 .399 .528 .927. Career highs in BA, OBP, SLG, OPS & OPS+. Led AL in SLG.

1949 Bobby Doerr, 2B, Red Sox .309 18 109 .393 .497 .890. One of the better all around seasons of Doerr's illustrious career.

1950 Bobby Doerr, 2B, Red Sox .294 27 120 .367 .519 .886. Career highs in R, TR, HRs, RBI & TB. Near career high in hits.

I'll look at them Bernie. BIG fan of Doerr. I know he's not a 1 in 49/50. He's like a 2e12.
He's one of those that stats may look better on BR but don't translate that much to Strat.
