Do you think SOM will survive another 10-20 years? I wonder which would bring in more new (and younger) fans, cards from the 1800s-1950s. Or players from the last 50 years or so?

I would have thought the answer might even be both, but since we can only add a couple dozen cards, a couple of times a year, priorities have to be made.

We know what the current customer base prefers. The players from a bygone era in America, when mom still made apple pie, and certain folks weren't allowed on golf courses (or ball diamonds for that matter).

Okay guy. If Terry Shumpert had played in Hugh Duffy's day he would have hit .500. But you are worried about Shumpert being out of place? You guys have issues. We don't live in the 1950s anymore, sorry brah.

What do Gary Matthews, Terry Shumbert, and Milton Bradley all have in common? They didn't play in the 1880s when the entire player pool of the entire world was maybe a few thousand.

You definitely wouldn't want a really nice card from an average player, that nobody has heard of like, Terry Shumbert. Those roles are reserved for Hugh Duffy, Ross Barnes and all the "Whiteys" and "Rubes" you can find.

I have no problem with Shumpert. He meets the PA criteria for addition. If you want him in the set make the nomination.

Its just amazing that this idiot actually said I don't want Schubert who played 14 years in integrated MLB to have a really good card.

UM, WHY? BECAUSE HE DIDN'T PLAY IN THE 1880s?

Because he's black? Seriously, why?

And it is frankly hilarious when you mentioned an UNLEASHED SET, when the Boomer Boys nearly had heart attacks just when SOM offered an option to exclude players from before 1901.

Half the cards in the set are fluke unleashed cards.

There are several dozen one hit wonders, but a guy who played 14 years in the modern era is a bridge too far?

I honestly didn't even know he was "black" but when Boomer Boy rejected the idea, I assumed. I am shocked that I was right.

Dude, I explained why I didn’t want that particular Shumpert card, multiple times actually.
Reading comprehension is difficult for you. I’m sorry, don’t know that I can help.

I have an opinion about that card, as do you.
NOMINATE HIM. VOTE HIM IN. I DON’T CARE.

I get it. Personalize and polarize.
Ridicule is man’s most potent weapon.
Won’t it be fun to make the boards an Alinsky battleground?

Of course, he also said a tactic that drags on too long becomes a drag.
You have become a drag. Your other issues appear to be congenital.

You know, you could change. Stop the ignorant bomb-throwing attacks and engage the community constructively and positively. Put down the Molotov cocktails and play nice. Or keep up your crap. Whatever.
