19.3 Nominations will open on 4/15

PostMon Apr 01, 2019 6:58 pm

Greetings,

We will start taking nominations for the 19.3 individual card add on Monday 4/15. That gives everyone 2 weeks to contemplate their potential nomination.

Andy has done some fine work in this forum re potential nominees from pre-2000 seasons. Many others have contributed ideas as well. Please take a look.

Hopefully the 19.1 cards will drop before the 15th.

Thanks,
Bill

Was hoping that we'd see some positive signs that they were going to keep their word and have it by the second postponement.
No blame on Bill,
but this is disappointing that we are still waiting for the first add of 2019 in April .

Thanks Salty. Yes, it is disappointing, but I have to give them somewhat of a pass on the 19.1 add, as we were running behind due to the transition and didn't get the list to them until 2/18. I was actually surprised when they said by the end of March, as that was less than six weeks.

Hopefully once we do get the 19.1 cards in, all future adds will occur in the expected quarter.

Bill,

How many weeks do you feel is a reasonable time frame from when they get the nominations until they are delivered?

Unfortunately, I'm not sure it's entirely reasonable to set an expectation of an exact number of weeks. My reasoning for that is we don't know how many weeks are being soaked up by the pricing committee kicking the pricing around, before it ever gets back to Strat.

My thinking was, let's get the lists to them sometime during the previous quarter, with the more than reasonable expectation of getting the cards in the quarter that the add is labeled for.

So, with the list for 19.2 being sent to Strat in March, I absolutely expect to have the 19.2 cards in the set sometime in the second quarter. No sense setting myself up for disappointment.

Thanks,
Bill

Please note these additional parameters for nominations from 19.3 forward -

Minimums:
200 AB
80 IP Starters
40 IP Relievers

Thanks,
Bill
