Per Strat, it is MLB cards only.

All MLB cards from 1871-2017 are eligible per Strat.
(2018 cards will be eligible for 19.4)

Our 19.1 parameters are as follows.
1. One nomination per member only
2. When we hit 50 unique nominations we will begin voting
3. If we get more than 50 those missing the cut will roll to 19.2
4. We will have one poll of 50 cards; the top 25 will be added
5. Any ties for the 25th spot will automatically be added in 19.2
6. Next "x" highest vote getters will get another shot in 19.2

1. 2005 Jonny Gomes TB OF - .282/.372/.534 1R - only card is a .50, Rays need more cards!
2. 1980 Don Sutton LAN SP 2.21 ERA (led league in ERA) 0.99 WHIP (led league) Balanced card S7* His 2nd best card, probably priced much more affordably than his 72 card.

Re: 19.1 Nominations are Open!

PostThu Jan 31, 2019 8:55 am

Well, the nominations are coming in slower than anticipated and we are already way behind for Q1, so, barring near universal condemnation, I plan to do the following.

We will keep the 19.1 nominations open another week (unless we hit 50 sooner). If we have at least 40 at that time we will go ahead and vote. If not, we will have a quick round of 2nd nominations to get to 50.

Thanks,
Bill

Sounds good, Bill. I would urge everyone reading here to contact your leagues to push people to nominate cards.

No biggie to me either way, but you could also fill out the ballot with some of the "near misses" from the last add or two. (Ryan Klesko comes to mind)

How about J.J. Hardy 2012 - ss 1e7 with over 700 PA, .238/.282/.389 with 22 HR...and price may be lower in ATG for a low cap league

or perhaps 2013 (all star) - ss 1e12 644 PA, 25 HR, .265/.306/.433...for a more costly card
